Design Lead Engineer

As a Design Lead Engineer you contribute to the success of the projects by coordinating and overseeing the entire design engineering process for our projects. You will be part of the Engineering  team and ensure that all the activities related to the mechanical design of HRSGs are executed successfully. With your Mechanical Engineering experience and overview in the projects, you know to keep your head cool in this heat transfer business!

You work close with the Design Engineers, Project Lead Engineer, Project Manager, Supply Manager, and specialists in piping, process, equipment, and instrumentation. You will report to the Manager of Project Engineering.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

•          Coordinate with internal departments such as; Pressure Parts, Non-Pressure Parts and Structural Engineers

•          Responsible for reviewing, discussing and challenging design details with fabricators and other stakeholders

•          Monitoring the status of all engineering activities in the project and ensuring deadlines are met

•          Managing external engineering firms, often located abroad.

•          Work on improvement of work processes and technical standards within the design team

Candidate requirements

•          Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical engineering or any related field

•          5+ years’ experience in mechanical design of industrial installations and coordinating internal and external parties.

•          Preferably, knowledge of CAD systems

•          Experience with structural engineering, industrial equipment, heat transfer equipment and/or pressure vessels

•          Willingness to travel internationally a few times a year.

•          Helicopter view and an eye for details

•          Keep track of status and liaising about the details and quality of the project)
