Finance Compliance Manager

In the role of Finance Compliance Manager, you will drive the compliance success of NEM Energy Group with a focus on protecting the financial system and avoiding finance compliance failures.  You will be responsible for setting up of the group-wide compliance framework with the focus on our finance department. This includes; design and development, implementation, defining operational responsibilities, offer regular training in how to implement the controls, testing, monitoring and reporting, keeping controls up to date.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage an effective finance compliance framework.
• Review and (re-)develop finance policies.
• Advise management on compliance with detailed reports on laws and regulations within the Finance Department.
• Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and finance compliance violations.
• Regularly audit finance procedures, practices and documents to identify possible deficiencies or risks.
• Assess company operations to determine finance compliance risks.
• Ensure that employees are trained on the latest regulations and processes.
• Set-up and implement ESG Reporting & Insights
• Actively seeking the automation of testing and monitoring, to keep pace with technological advancements and provide ongoing assurance.

Candidate requirements:

• Bachelor’s level education (Finance, Business Administration, (Tax) Law or related field), preferably in combination with a Compliance Qualification.
• Work well independently, result-oriented and persistent without making concessions on ethics.
• 4 - 6 years’ proven experience in a finance compliance officer/manager role.
• Proficiency in financial compliance software
• Ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders and convey finance compliance matters clearly.
