Lead Buyer

The procurement department covers the entire supply chain and is responsible for all subcontracting of fabrication, procurement and expediting of materials and equipment and all logistics operations for our projects worldwide. As a Lead Buyer you are responsible for the purchasing of complex burner and SCR system but also direct equipment like control valves, flow devices, shut-off valves, steam silencers, instrumentation etcetera’s as well as indirect goods and services, and for the coordination and guidance of procurement work done by the different business units. You work in a small and flexible team and in close cooperation with the Manager Operational Procurement and Supply Management

Key Skills & Responsibilities

Implement, update and monitor procurement principles and associated processes;

• Develop, present and implement purchasing strategies in line with organization targets;

• KPI monitoring and reporting;

• Formal responsibility for supplier/ vendor management; maintaining an actual overview of documentation; information, fabrication capabilities, financial performance and workload of suppliers;

• Support to process indirect PO’s and direct PO’s in case of back-up;

• Monitoring of supplier performance and initiating improvement actions;

• Send out requests for quotations, evaluation of offers, negotiations and closing of contracts within the set targets;

• Negotiate claim settlements;al stakeholders

Candidate requirements:

• We are looking for a hands-on and experienced buyer with higher professional education, preferably with a technical background and NEVI 1.

• You have moderate years relevant experience in technical markets and project organizations

• You have a good commercial sense and a clear affinity with and knowledge of legal and financial aspects of purchasing

• You are a team player and able to communicate and cooperate with different disciplines like engineering, strategic procurement, quality control and sales and have a good working knowledge of English and Dutch, both written as well as verbal.

• Your communication skills are excellent and you are able to work independently.
