Structual Engineer

A Structual Engineer at NEM Energy, is responsible for the strength calculations of the steel constructions in the projects. Together with the engineering team you develop a design that ensures structural stability, while minimizing the material usage. Your role as Structual Engineer goes further than calculations because, you act as the structural specialist in the project team and think innovatively how the structure can be fabricated!

You will work closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer and the Supply Manager and will report to the Lead Project Engineer within the project.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

•          Structural calculations according to international codes and standards such as AISC/ Eurocode and local codes.

•          Structural calculations according Project specification and the internal NEM-Energy quality guidelines.

•          Set priorities in the engineering team with respect to progress of the structural calculation work package.

•          Experience with making calculation spreadsheets is required

Candidate requirements

•          Master degree, preferably in Structual Engineering, or other additional specialization (HTI, BV/BMS)

•          5+ years of working experience in the field of structural calculations

•          Knowledge and hands-on experience with the design tools StaadPro, SCIA or Robot

•          At least B1 Level of English (verbally and written)

•          A team player with a positive hands-on attitude and structured way of working
